Parrot1. What Parrot is
Parrot is a custom iPhone keyboard that lets you type or speak in one language and translate into another language directly inside the app you are already using. Translation is performed on your device using Apple's built-in Translation framework.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or process the text, voice, or translations you create with Parrot. Everything you type, dictate, or translate stays on your device and is handled by Apple's on-device translation and speech-recognition services.
We do not have access to your messages, passwords, search history, contacts, or any other content you enter through the keyboard.
3. How translation works
Parrot uses Apple's built-in Translation framework and related Apple speech-recognition technologies. These are first-party iOS features that run locally on your iPhone when you have downloaded the relevant language models.
When language models are downloaded for offline use, that download happens between your device and Apple's services. Parrot itself does not send your typed or spoken content to any server we operate.
4. Analytics and third-party services
Parrot does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the keyboard. We may use basic, anonymous App Store-provided metrics (such as download counts and crash reports managed by Apple) to improve the app, but these do not contain your content or personal messages.
5. Data retention and deletion
Because we do not collect your translations or typed content, there is no data to retain or delete on our side. Any text, language models, or keyboard settings on your device are controlled by you and can be removed from your iPhone's settings at any time.
6. Children's privacy
Parrot is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the app or our website if the changes are material.
